Hi, I’m Maria — a third-generation artist and grew up in my grandfather’s art studio — surrounded by canvases, brushes, and the quiet magic of creation.
It was a space filled with warmth, stories, and a deep love for art that shaped my world from the very beginning.
My Creative JourneyOver the years, I’ve worked as a photographer, illustrator, and designer — creating visual content and educational resources.
A New Life ChapterI moved to Germany in my mid — 20s with one clear goal: to build a new life on my own terms.
After my child was born, everything shifted.
I spent the next 10 years working professionally with children and families — as a licensed childcare provider (Tagesmutter).
During that time, I completed multiple certified courses in early childhood development, creative pedagogy, and education.
This chapter gave me deep insight into how children think, learn, and connect — something that continues to inspire and shape my creative work today.
Understanding PeopleI’ve always been interested in human behavior
and what drives people — studying psychology has been my passion for many years.
Over the years, I’ve studied the work of Louise Hay, Daniel J. Siegel, Laura Markham, Becky Kennedy, Ross W. Greene, Sam Vaknin, and many others — covering different perspectives on human behavior and communication.
This knowledge, combined with my own life experience, defines the way I write my
blog and create — bringing depth, clarity, and a sharper perspective to every topic I cover.
Why "Mossy Bird"?Mossy Bird is my child — born from love, lived experience, and a late-night rescue of a tiny bird who became
part of our family.
This project brings together everything I live and breathe: creativity, caregiving, and meaningful design.
Creativity has always been my way to make sense of the world.
It’s how I express myself — and how I connect with others.
My MissionThrough Mossy Bird, I want to support parents, educators, and curious little minds.
Everything I create is shaped by my experience — as an artist, a mother, and someone who spent a decade working with kids and families.
I can’t bury my need to create — it’s in my blood.
Today, I combine my artistic roots with a practical approach to design: clean visuals, emotional warmth, and content that works in real life.
